Evening discipline sets the tone for how you wake up, how you feel, and how consistent you remain with your goals.

Why Fitness Belongs at Every Conference:
A Lesson from Commonwealth Financial Group

On Monday morning, something different happened at the Commonwealth Financial Group Conference. Before the first keynote began, more than 50 professionals traded their business attire for workout gear. Instead of grabbing a second cup of coffee, they grabbed their mats, bands, and water bottles — ready for a 6AM WLFS Corporate Bootcamp and Yoga Experience that kicked off the event with energy, laughter, and purpose.

As I led the morning bootcamp, I watched executives, managers, and employees moving together — encouraging one another through every push-up, lunge, and squat. Within minutes, the room came alive with energy. People weren’t just exercising; they were connecting, smiling, and feeling genuinely good. We ended the session with a memorable challenge — wall sits with teamwork. Each participant passed a bottle of water around the room, tossing it from person to person until everyone had touched it. Only then was the exercise complete. It was the perfect metaphor: when everyone plays a part, the team succeeds.

At the same time, our yoga instructor guided another group through a calm, restorative session. The combination of breathing, stretching, and mindfulness brought balance and focus before the day’s sessions began. It wasn’t just about flexibility — it was about clarity, composure, and starting the day with intention.

The Lesson: Fitness Fuels Focus

What we witnessed that day was more than a workout — it was a performance enhancer.

Studies continue to show that employees who move during the workday experience:

✅ Greater productivity

✅ Improved concentration

✅ Lower stress levels

✅ Stronger collaboration and morale

Fitness doesn’t take away from performance — it amplifies it. When professionals move, they think clearer, handle challenges better, and show up at their best. That’s why fitness belongs at every conference.

Hello Reader A detox can feel like a reset button—but the real transformation happens after the reset. For active aging adults, a plant-based detox is one of the most effective ways to reduce inflammation, support digestion, improve energy levels, and give your body a break from processed foods and excess sugar. When done the right way, it helps your body work with you again—especially as we age. But here’s the part most programs don’t talk about enough: What happens after the detox matters...

Hello Reader A new year brings fresh energy—but lasting change doesn’t come from motivation alone. In 2026, we’re choosing principles over feelings. Feelings change. Life gets busy. Motivation fades. Principles give you something to stand on when you don’t feel like showing up. Becoming the healthiest version of yourself will require structure, consistency, and effort—not perfection. What It Takes Physically If weight loss is your goal, plan on: • 150–300 minutes of cardio per week (walking...
